ACTION ALERT: Stop Dakota Access Pipeline
“We must follow the lead of Indigenous communities that have protected their land for countless generations, and work together and in solidarity to leave a thriving planet for future generations and all living beings.” ~ Ajamu Baraka, 2016 Green Party Vice Presidential Nominee
A lot of lives will be negatively impacted if the Dakota Access Pipeline (“DAPL”) is approved.
The $3.8 billion pipeline would extend over 1,100 miles and transport nearly half a million barrels of crude oil across the Missouri River daily.
Given the history of pipelines, many are rightfully worried that it will leak, destroying the environment and contaminating a critical water source for millions of people.
